Operation Christmas Child

at West Auburn Baptist Church

One of the ways West Auburn carries out the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations is through Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan's purse. The goal of this ministry is simple: reach underprivileged and unreached children and their families with the gospel by sending them a shoebox full of simple gifts. Every shoebox is given with a gospel presentation, and each child is then invited to participate in the Greatest Journey discipleship program, where the children learn to share their faith with others.

How to Get Involved

Through a few simple steps, you can help us reach our goal of 80 shoeboxes:

If for any reason you cannot go shopping for Operation Christmas Child items, but you still want to donate funds for these items, speak to Josh or Jessica Krewall during Sunday or Wednesday night services, and they will be happy to go shopping on your behalf.

What about shipping?

OCC Shipping Canoe.jpg
  • Help us raise the $9 shipping charge for each box,  which includes collection, processing, shipping, and The Greatest Gift Gospel Booklets, which are written in the child's own language

  • Help us raise an additional $6 per box to sponsor a child for The Greatest Journey discipleship program, which provides the child with a Bible and discipleship classes to equip them to live out the Christian life and share the gospel with their friends and family

Get ready. November 11 is church-wide packing day.

Join us November 11 for our church-wide packing day. After the last box is packed, we will pray together for God to use each box to impact a child's life with the gospel.
